"Defending the motorist throughout the South West"

It is both the drivers and their employers responsibility to comply with the tachograph rules. A breach of these rules could cause the driver or the company employing the driver to be summonsed to court.

The Penalty

If found guilty of breaching these regulations then this may result in a hefty fine. Also, deliberately altering the tachograph or forging a tachograph can result in a maximum of two years imprisonment with an unlimited fine.

At Motoring Law Defence, we can advise you of possible defences if you face such an allegation. We strongly recommend that you seek legal consultation as the law is complicated in this area.
